Ranthambore safari season runs from October to June with morning and evening drives. For tiger sightings, March to May works best. October to February has pleasant weather. Book safaris 7 to 30 days early, sooner for peak dates. Both safari timings give a good wildlife experience.
Gypsy safari uses an open six-seater vehicle with a guide and driver. Private or shared booking available. It's small size reaches deep into the forest, good views, and experience. Limited vehicles, advance booking needed.
Canter safari uses an open vehicle with twenty seats. Only shared booking allowed. Cheaper option for groups. Fixed routes, most zones. Seats are limited on each shift, so advance booking is advised.
Ranthambore National Park is in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, India. It is famous worldwide for tiger safaris. Visitors come to see Royal Bengal Tigers, Ranthambore Fort, forests, lakes, and scenery. This is the most popular zone. It has lakes, open forest, and views of Ranthambore Fort. It is well known for good wildlife sightings.
This zone has dense forest mixed with grasslands. It is known for regular tiger activity.
This zone has rocky land and open valleys. Kachida Valley is located here and is a good area for leopards.
This zone has open grasslands and hills. It is famous for birds, vultures, and tiger movement.
This zone is rough and hilly. It offers wide forest views and peaceful safari rides.
This zone has narrow forest roads and rocky paths. It shares wildlife areas with Zone 7.
This zone is near the Chakal River. It is good for bird watching, sloth bears, and quiet safaris.
This zone has grasslands and water areas. It is known for peaceful safaris and active tiger territories.
Safari zone allotment is done by the forest department and is completely random. Visitors cannot choose their zone.

In the event that the park is closed due to rain, a refund of 75% will be issued for gypsy bookings and 65% for canter bookings. Note : If your permit has already been issued, we regret to inform you that refunds will not be available.
For a current booking request, you may receive a booking confirmation one day prior to the safari date if your booking slot is for the morning, or on the same day if it is for the evening.
Chamal Boat Safari amount is Non-Refundable.
If the safari does not get confirmed, 100% of
the amount will be refunded.
If the safari gets confirmed, no refund will
be issued.
However, if the customer submits a cancellation request for their current/Tatkal booking before the due date, the following cancellation charges will apply:
A 25% cancellation fee will be charged for
Gypsy safaris.
A 35% cancellation fee will be charged for
Canter safaris.Gypsy Safari / Canter Safari charges are non-refundable. Current booking safari charges will be refunded in case booking is not confirmed.

In case of replacement of Canter from Gypsy
or Gypsy to canter, we will refund the difference amount.
We will refund 70% of the total tour cost
(GST and PG charges are non-refundable), in case the permit is not generated.

when processing cancellations.All reservations for use of any facility including entry and stay in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve are provisional in nature and are subject to modification/cancellation by the Field Director, Ranthambore Tiger Reserve without assigning any reasons. Making a reservation will imply your agreement to any and all of the terms and conditions laid down here. There shall be no cancellation/refund for any safari under any circumstances and no request shall be entertained for refund/rescheduling of safari.
